Hi all. Just curious if any of you used a specialist to size you after reconstruction. I had a single mastectomy, reconstruction and a breast lift on the other side. Implants on both. I know I need to be fitted, but I didn’t know if it would be better to go to a “regular” fitter or a specialist.

Thanks!

I recently went to Nordstrom for a bra fitting and was very pleased with the assistance I received there. The young woman who helped me took measurements, listened to what i was looking for and brought me at least 25 bra styles to try on. She offered her opinion as to which provided the best shape and why certain brands weren't fitting me well. I am "test-driving" the winner (which I purchased in black and beige) for a few days and know that I can easily return anything that doesn't end up working out.

I went to Nordstrom as well. Called and made appt and checked on what they needed for insurance. Mine requires a prescip for the bra, which my PS wrote. Nordstrom is a certified medical supplier and they filed with insurance. Every coverage is different. Mine was $30/bra -- 4 per quarter. I don't think I could use that many!

    Good luck!

Thanks you guys! I’ve heard great things about the Nordstrom program. I’ll look into scheduling with them.
