Advice needed
I Am a female a few months shy of turning 30. For a few months now my left breast has been very itchy to the point I have made it bruise and bleed. In the motion of attempting to itch the area almost a month ago I found a lump. It feels solid, jagged in texture, and will move slightly. The lump has no pain or tenderness when touched. I've (googled)read and YouTubed as much knowledge I could soak in, but dont feel like im any closer to not driving myself crazy over this. I was finishing my period when I first noticed the lump, and started it again today. I seen a lot of it saying to wait it out and see what happens after your cycle is over. With that being said and initially finding the lump while finishing my last cycle, I'm uninsured and worried. I don't want to go to the ER for them to tell me I'm young it's nothing bad and send me on my way with a load of debt. Opinions and advice would be wonderful from anyone willing to share as I don't have anyone to speak to of this.

call your local Susan B Komen or American Cancer Society. Both usually have funds for under or uninsured women who need mammograms. Alternatively, find a planned parenthood or other low cost clinic. You need to be seen. The ER would be too expensive and they cannot do a diagnostic mammogram. The ER is for emergencies that are an immediate life threat

The ER is not an appropriate place to go for breast diagnostics and they will not do mammograms, ultrasounds, etc in the ER. Check in with Planned Parenthood, or every state participates in the National Breast & Cervical Cancer early detection program.

Thank you for the replies that alone is a weight lifted in a sense. I will try planned parenthood as I do have one about 20 minutes from me. I wouldn't be applical for National Breast & Cervical Cancer early detection program, being under the age of 40 and I'm sure they would say my income is to high. I wasn't sure planned parenthood had those services, and everything I looked into seemed to all be dependant on the usual age you would start receiving mammograms.

Hoping you find a way to get checked soon. Keep us posted. I know how scary this is

For annual mammos the age factor may be true, but in your situation they may provide you with a low/no cost Mammo. Better to try and go through the hoops than worry
start googling free or low cost mammos at your local clinics or other places like that as well.
