Hi,

I'm an 18 year old girl. Now i know so many people say it's uncommon to get breast cancer young but please hear me out. For the last maybe month or so i have been getting small (like the tip of ur finger)red, round and very slightly raised circles on my breasts randomly they come and slowly turn greyish then fade, the skin peels awfully on the spots and there is sometimes a small amount of puss/blood in the middle if i pick at one. It's almost like an infected ingrown hair. I've only had maybe 5. I didn't worry too much because they were on BOTH breasts and painless also everyone online with cancer talk always say one breast not two. Obviously I kept an eye on them though. Then today very small patches of red skin almost like freckles turned up not raised at all but if i look closely i can see capillaries at the surface.

I am unfortunately not a healthy teen I'm quuiiite overweight and have always had iron/vitamin deficiencies. So i see it as more likely that I would get breast cancer as these factors surely put u more at risk. I have tried looking up the symptoms but everything Is so confusing.

I don't feel any extra swelling or heat or lumps that shouldn't be there but i just don't know.

I know you can't offer professional medical advice or anything and that's not what I'm after. I just want to know if anyone here knows if these two symptoms really are cancer symptoms or not.

I do plan on asking my mum to take me to the doctor anyway but would love some opinions before that

Please help me,

Anne

No, they are skin condition symptoms. Statistically you have about a zero percent chance of having breast cancer at eighteen. Skin conditions, however, are very common

I agree with Melissa. Breast cancer is virtually unheard of in an 18 yr old. However, there are many benign skin conditions that could cause those symptoms. Nothing that you've described screams breast cancer to me. My suggestion is that you show this to your primary care doctor, Gyn, or dermatologist.

Sounds like a dermatological issue. Definitely get it checked though!
