Lumpectomy bilateral reduction questions
Hi! I just found the forum. I was recently diagnosed with Grade 2, ER+ PR+ HER2- IDC in my left breast. So far the plan is lumpectomy followed by radiation. I am meeting with the PS tomorrow and I'm wondering if there are any specific questions I haven't thought of that should be covered? I just found out about the idea of lumpectomy plus bilateral reduction and since i have large breasts that give me killer backaches I am definitely hoping I can. TIA

Hi, Suzilks - There's a thread (link below) all about lumpectomy and reduction. You should check it out. I just had a lumpectomy and am not sure yet if I am going to have a bi-lateral reduction before I have radiation. I may skip it and go right to radiation. Hope your appointment went well!

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.Wishing you all the best! I am having a lumpectomy with bilateral reduction (oncoplastic) on March 16th. I had a lot of questions for my PS. I was undecided about the procedure until I talked to him and also went for a second opinion. I found a list of questions to get me started.

Thanks so much for sharing the list! I asked most of the questions on it yesterday at my appointment with the PS. I have decided to have the bilateral oncoplastic reduction also. Mine will be on April 9th! Best of luck to you on the 16th!
