Hip & Thigh Pain = Ibrance/Faslodex?
Ladies.
I've been on the Ibrance/Faslodex combo since this past December, so early days. Does anyone else have achey thighs, hips, butt on their off-Ibrance week. I've had it before - but this cycle has been terrible. It's a toothache-type of pain - lingers and gnaws. Hard to sleep, etc.
If you experience/d this, is there anything that helped/I can do to alleviate? Does anyone know what it's from? Faslodex? Xgeva? Off-week? Ibrance?
Thanks.

I don't know if it is from the Ibrance or hormone blocker (I am on Letrozole) but I get those pains too-not just during the off week. I find that doing yoga or stretching the areas that ache helps. It feels to me like the muscles get very tight. Best wishes.

I am on faslodex and xgeva and I get the same exact thing about 8 days after the injections and it lasts about 2 days. I have been on xgeva for 2 years but once I started faslodex it started happening. The only relief I have found is a heating pad. It is very toothache like where it just distracts you from everything and can’t find relief

I had it my weekend off. I found if I took painkillers that weekend I was fine for rest of cycle. My MO prescribed a painkiller twice s day. Related to ibuprofen in that it reduced inflammation.

Zills..do you happen to know what the painkiller was that he prescribed? I have a call into my Onc. Could barely sleep last night. I took a hot bath at 1 am, and then fell asleep from sheer exhaustion. Here I am at work, overly emotional and praying the worst is over after 5 days.
Thank you for your response. At least I know I'm not crazy.

Thanks everyone. I wish relief for all of us. If I find something that works, I'll let you know.

Cataflam is the brand name. I think it's awesome. Usually one dose works. Must eat.

Hi AZS40,
I'm taking Ibrance/faslodex now for 15 months. I started having body aches within a month or two. I started taking Norco 5mg. It gave me headaces and a little nausea but it helped and I was up and going about my business. Now at 15 months it was not working anymore. I am not able to take Ibuprofen or any of those types of pain killers and Tylenol didn't work. I have mets. in my liver, bones, soft tissue, tiny spots in the lungs and one lympgh node. i was referred to a palliative care Dr. and she started me on 5mg. of oxycodone. She told me the goal is to keep you functioning and happy in your daily life. I take a half of one about 4 times a day although there are times I need a whole one in the evening. It works better and lasts longer. For some reason the pain does seem worse in the hips and thighs and lower back areas. The cancer has really responded to the treatment so I don't think the pain is from that. I was afraid I was not being strong because I hadn't heard people talk about the body aching. I'm glad I'm not alone in this experience but certainly not glad that you're having it. The palliative care Dr. said she didn't really know why I was having this aching! I looked it up on the faslodex website and it was listed there on the side effects list. I just hadn't heard anyone talk about it before. I'm afraid I might be a big weeny with pain tolerance.

I’m on my first month of ibrance and femara and I was fine the first week and a half and then my legs started hurting, but I got by on ultram. Now I only have 4 more ibrance to take before I get the week off and I had to take Percocet last night and today because I ache all over. My elbows, back, ribs, legs and even my toes. I normally have a pretty high pain tolerance. I’m hoping when I get the week off, it will go away
