Theresanne,
So sorry you are going through this fear again. I'm only 7 months out myself but I wanted to offer you hugs and prayers. You won't be going anywhere. Where did you notice it..on the mastectomy scar? Side? I'm sure that there are a few possibilities on what it could be outside of a recurrence like a lipoma, scar tissue. Possible if you call you could move your appointment up?
Please let us know. Keeping my fingers crossed. Sending a ton of positive thoughts your way.

Beach, thanks for responding..your wordsmean so much....It is not near the mastecmy scar...not near where the original spots of cancer were..but on the cancer side..more toward the midline, but not stuck to bone underneath..so scared..the only thing that has me able to function, barely, and I know this is not always the case for b9, but it is smooth and moveable...so hard for me..as I said, my son is coming in this week for break..I want to spend quality time with him..If I found out it was somethng bad id lose that...I am crushed...I did everything, lost weight, no alchohol, no sugar, healthy vegan diet, ,femara, herbal supplements...excercise...i amdevastated right now...

I would say movable and smooth is a good sign. Fat necrosis is an option, too. Try not to go there. Deep breath. I had a lump come up on my snb scar last year. It was a pimple. ☺️

Thanks Farmerlucy...

I have one of those. I made them do an ultrasound and a fine needle biopsy. It turned out to be nothing. Fingers crossed.

Thank you Momine...you give me something to hang on to...its so hard. If it were me..alone...Id rush in today to the Dr's....but, my husband is overwhelmed right now with work, but most importantly, my son...who is always worried about me is coming home on the 9th for a week...I cant forfeit that time if I have bad news...it may be one of the last weeks I ever get to spend with him...since he is a senior, probably be getting a jobwith really no extended time...ugh, Im so sad and upset right now...how to I get through these next two weeks?

Smooth and moveable sound good. I had a small bump last summer, too. I made an appt with breast surgeon and I was SO relieved when she suspected it was a cyst, and she was, indeed, able to aspirate it right then and there!
Take a deep breath and dont let your imagination run away!!
Enjoy your son's visit home!

I had a lump about 1 inch from my mastectomy scar develop within a year after bmx. Surgeon did an ultrasound in the room but I insisted on having it removed (since nothing about my cancer was routine for discovery). Fat necrosis. No cancer.
Best to you.

Sometimes I think post-surgery we grow weird things that are completely benign and that the older we get, the more chance we have of getting the occasional cyst or lipoma. I echo the above responses. Get it checked out (because if it is something, you want it gone asap so you can get on with your life) and let us know how it goes. We are here and know exactly, I mean exactly, why you are scared.
Hugs,
Claire in AZ

I just had a mastectomy with reconstruction the end of February. Three days ago I had a lump on the same breast which scared me to death. I went to the doctor . It turned out to be scar tissue starting to form. He said I had to use coco butter and massage the breast (implant) several times a day to break it up. Maybe this could just be scar tissue. See the doctor and get the answer. The unknown is worse than the knowing sometimes. Good luck
