I was diagnosed with cancer in August of 2006. It's been 11 years and here I am again. I'm devastated by this new cancer. It's the exact same kind I had last time. I have triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. I'll be starting chemotherapy soon. I feel like I'm dreaming. I found out February 2 and finally found the courage to come back and post here. I didn't want to discourage anyone that is going through this. I really thought after 11 years I beat it. I'm a fighter and can do this again but I have to say this really sucks!

    Trish, I’m so sorry, this really does suck. You may want to go to the Calling all TNs thread, there are a lot of supportive people there.

    The good news is there is a lot of promising research being done to help us TNs.

    Hugs,

    Rebekah

    Thank you! I just posted there. I've been reading the boards for a month and finally decided to post. I think this will be good for me. I've been very depressed.

    Trish:

    I'm so sorry you are back and have a new diagnosis. But glad you posted. (I could not have made it through 2017 without the support I've found here.)

    You know what this is like from the first go-round, but I always tell newbies that it gets better with a treatment plan in place. I'm hoping for that for you as well.

    Stay strong. You can do this.

    {hugs}

    That truly sucks, Trish. But I'm going to believe the second time "is a charm", so to speak, and that this time is the time you'll kick bc to the curb forever. You know we are here for you. Big, big hug.

    Sorry you are back on here...but I find it inspirational to read that though you are back and it sucks, you are going to beat it again. It says never give up.

    You got this.

    Hugs... I understand your angst. I was dx with a second primary BC in Feb 2017 after 13 years NED. It was in the other breast.

    I found in exceptionally difficult emotionally second time around, but much easier treatment wise.

    I think this time around, I am aware of how precious life and health really is
