edited March 2018 in Waiting for Test Results

I had a biopsy last Friday on a 1.2 cm mass in my right breast. It was the type of biopsy with the vaccuum. The ultrasound results labeled it a 4b (Birad score maybe?) The radiologist performing the biopsy said it was softer than he expected but wouldn't elaborate on what that meant. I was hoping to hear back today on the patholoy results but so far nothing. This waiting is seriously the hardest thing...I feel like I might just shatter into a million pieces.

I can relate to the torturous waiting - time goes by so slowly when you’re anxious. I hope you get your results tomorrow, and that it comes back benign

I, too, can relate to the torturous waiting period. After a 3-D mammogram and ultrasound resulting in a Birad 0, I have been scheduled for a breast MRI on March 12. I finally got up enough nerve to read my ultrasound report and read terms like no vascular flow, posterior acoustic enhancement , one lesion has a regular margin and another has an angular margin. I recognize that these terms are a mixture of both good and bad, but I don’t know what to think anymore. Trying to remain positive and praying that thisis not a 2nd bought with cancer in the same breast after 21 years.

I'm so sorry you have to wait so long. It just seems so crazy that it takes so long for everything. It has been over a month since my mammogram...seems like it didn't need to take this long. We live in a pretty rural area, but it still seems like there could be a better way. You will be in my prayers. There is a bit of comfort in solidarity. Stay strong!

the waiting is torture. It bring 2018 with newer and better than ever technology, you would think that we could get answers quickly. If only I could change the world...
