I started Lupron plus Tamoxifen both in September of last year. Ridiculous hot/ cold flashes are my only obvious side effects. There’s a monthly shot and a three month depot shot, I go monthly. I would recommend discussing bone health with your MO, because Lupron is hard on the bones.

I was 51 at diagnosis (52 now) I have been on the monthly lupron for a year. I am also on daily letrozole pills. It is hard for me to tell which med is causing the side effects but I have had hot flashes, night sweats, with joint and bone pain. The worst is the joint and bone pain. I have a friend that started letrozole (no lupron) and she hasnt had joint or bone pain but has noticed hair thinnng. I blame the lupron but who knows. Everyone is different so you may be just fine on it. Good luck. Anti-inflammatories, hot bath soaks and yoga seem to help.
