My oncologist wants to give me nerylax( I'm not sure about the spelling) when I finish herceptin
How about you??
About my surgery the next step is to finish reconstruction I'm not excited at all
-
I still don't know if I will start Nerlynx. MO told me about it months ago and this whole time I have been gearing myself up to start it but at the last visit he said now he's not sure. How are you going to decide whether to take it or not?
-
hoping I am reading my pathology report correctly. It was just posted to my patient portal from my hysterectomy. I think it says both left and right lymph node were benign, the hysterectomy parts were all benign, and the pelvic wash liquid had no malignant cells. Sounds to me like no cancer in the lower lady parts ... will see my surgeon Thursday for official report.
Feels good!
-
That does sound like good news Dodgersgirl. I'm praying the official report is the same on Thursday.
-
Legomaster225–. Thanks! Feeling pretty good about it at this point
-
Yeah, Dodger, on the great report!!!!!!!!
-

Dodgers girl, that’s wonderful!
-
thanks everyone!
Gigilala- love the hair!!
-
DodgersGirl - soooo awesome for the good news! Celebrate:-) you've been through a lot.
-
Found a lump in my right breast yesterday. I've been having on/off pain in my breast since last month but no lump last month:^( Going to GP today - back for more testing I guess. Shitty too cause I only have today and tomorrow for rads - then i thought I'd be able to start getting on with my life....
-
Roaming_Star—- hoping for benign results reference right breast. Please keep us posted
-
Thanks DodgersGirl - unfortunately it is in the same position that they found a "possible" cyst last year when they found the cancer in my left breast. I guess the cyst has changed? I am sure that things will move pretty quickly. I have good drs despite my challenging questions:-) lol.
-
great news Dodgers Girl!
-
DodgersGirl, yay for you! I am so happy.
RoamingStar, I will be thinking good thoughts and sending warm vibes your way.
Can't wait for Spring to come, for all of us. Man, we need some SUNSHINE!!
-
just sitting here thinking about the last year... quiet reflection as well am coming up on diagnosis anniversary and just wanted to tell you ALL that I sooooo appreciate each of you and thank you for sharing and supporting each other. Cancer sucks but finding such caring warriors is heart warming
THANK YOU for being here. You make a difference
-
I second that emotion! Could not have done it without all of you.
-
DodgersGirl you get a big WooHoo! That report sounds real good!! Congrats and have yourself a good long exhale.
Roaming Star Hoping for a good report for you and "righty" too!
Gigilala love the fun hair. I'm still in the "Grace Jones" crew cut stage. No ponies or waterspouts for me for a little while.
-
Thank you for all your support. My GP is ordering the tests. Meanwhile "keep calm and carry on".
-
Fingers crossed, Roaming Star, for good news/report.
I'm one year out today --- from surgery -- which I consider my one year anniversary. I'm so glad I got past all that. What a damn long year 2017 was.
Thanks to everyone here for the support. I could not have made it through without you!!! No one else gets it.
-
Congrats Dodgers girl on your path results. We have the same dx date.cant believe that it has already been a year. Really went by fast . So busy.
Roamingstar sending positive vibes and will be hoping praying for benign results. You've been through enough!
-
EastCoastTS you get a big WooHoo! and Tpralph you get a big WooHoo! (feeling a little like Oprah)
Stand up tall, take a big ol' cleansing breath and kick 2017 to the curb! Onward.
-
Thank you EastcoastTS:-) and congrats on one year out!!!!!! I hear you on the 2017 year! My DH and I couldn't wait to put that one to bed!
Mammogram is scheduled on Monday. I hope my concerns are wrong and that i am just being paranoid but if i learned anything from last year - better to get the test done than think that it is nothing or that it will go away....
Finished rads today:-) So happy about that! My skin is holding up but I'm in more pain and lost some mobility in my arm again so I'll be back to PT next week. I really am wishing for a long break from medical appointments (literally I'm burnt out lol!).
-
Roaming_Star—- congrats on finishing rads!!! And best of luck Monday.
-
Tpralph—. Sure has been a year, hasn’t it.
I think I overdid it today. Am really sore at one of the incision sites from hysterectomy. I had a 10 lbs limit on lifting. All I was doing was hanging laundered clothes in my closet. Didn’t think it was near 10 pounds but maybe it was the reaching up and out, too. Sitting here with a pillow on my tummy and not moving
-
DodgersGirl.... such a good news! Congratulations! Take it easy girl after surgery you should be.
Sorry I haven’t been on the last few weeks, I have been busy with Chinese New Year all the cleaning up and family gathering. I’m doing much better and started Anastrozole for two weeks now. I only have some mild joints pains on my hands, and hot Flashes. Last week I have big constipation problem, worse than chemo time. Now I have learned I need to stay on top of it.
-
Paulettek— nice to hear from you! I bet Chinese New Year is a busy time! Year of the dog. Glad to hear you are doing well
I have been on Anastrozole for about 6 weeks now. Minor pains in hands but other than that, not bad at all—- yet.
I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow. Expect to find a couple of worrisome spots but will just cope and deal with that as it comes.
-
DodgersGirl, prayers for your dermatologist appointment, I know how we feel about doctor appointments!
Ate too much glad I didn’t gain the weight back. Just happy the celebration ended. I have minor pains also, dont need to do much. Now I’m going back track to my constipation I think it can be due to heavy calcium intake. I just started magnesium yesterday and praying it works better.
