    Hi everyone....

Well never expected I would be searching for a BC support group as I chase around my toddler and planning where to have my 34th birthday dinner but I guess it’s just how my cards played out.

I met with the surgeon and oncologist. We are doing 8 rounds of chemo over 16 weeks, surgery then radiation. I don’t have a stage yet. All i know is its a grade 3 tumor and biopsy shows clear lymph nodes (thankfully) the tumor is 2.5cm but the oncologist said its “clinically 7-8cm” not sure what that means. Im still waiting in bone scan, heart test and ct scan all to take place in the next two weeks.

Chemo date is planned for March 12th start, im so nervous!

Billster, so sorry you are here. Many of us have young children and have gone through this treatment. It's hard. You'll make it through. This site has great support so stick around if you have the time. Best to you.

I am also newly diagnosed at the age of 35. I still can't believe it. It has been an emotional roller coaster that I never asked to ride but I have found this group to be welcoming and supportive. We are all in this together.

So very sorry you find yourself here. I found being in a group with other women going through chemo at the same time to be such a support! I believe a March chemo group has been started so maybe check it out.

If your tumour is 2.5, it is 2.5. He maybe referring to DCIS? surrounding tumour? 34 is a terrible age to get this disease and it troubles me to see it happening more often. My girlfriend, 12 years ago, had a 2.5+ grade 3 tumour with infection of sentinel lymph node...she only did surgery and is still ok. Hang in there...still early stage b.c. and quite treatable. Did you get oncotypeDX? Your age likely reflects the chemo regime.
