Hi, I go for a ultrasound in a few days. I know that nobody can give me a diagnosis and all that so I'm not sure what I'm looking for here but anyway here's what is going on...

I'm 28 and have a little lump in my armpit, it has been there for awhile... Like years. I was breastfeeding and so I ignored it but it hasn't left, it also hasn't really grown so that's probably a good sign right? Although I have recently noticed that there is much more skin in that armpit... Like it's puffed outand there's a little lump in there. Is that breast cancer symptom? I read thickening is, would that be along those lines? I mentioned it to my Dr and she quickly checked it and said it felt like a lipoma but did not compare it to the other side that is much smaller. She ordered a ultrasound to be safe though, so no complaints...

Anyway I have had alot of health issues the last few years.... So I kind of ignored the little lump because of other health concerns. I hope that wasn't a big mistake...I have been getting really sick at night... Sweating/ nausea /shaking but like I said I have other issues so it's hard for me to know sometimes.I have noticed that my nipple on that side is like bigger and there's no border on it anymore...like it's just kind of doing it's own thing as far as it color now... I did breastfeed a few babies though haha

There's a lot of cancer in my family, sister had thyroid My maternal aunt has breast cancer and my mom had uterine.

Sorry for the novel but appreciate any information or anything.

Potsie, sorry to hear about all you are going through. Sounds as though you have some symptoms, that are difficult to classify. Hopefully your doctors will give you a full battery of blood work, in addition to the US. Could be any number of things, including even your thyroid. We are not doctors, but wish could offer advice. Seems as though you are making some good health decisions though.

    Keep us posted

Not everything one feels under their arm is related to their breast.

If something has been present for "years" and has not changed it is usually considered "stable" and more likely benign than not.

Lipomas have a characteristic feel to them on physical exam.

Let us know what the ultrasound shows.
