Nine years ago I had Idc in my lelft breast and had lumpectomy and radiation therapy and have been on hormone treatment since. I had a call back on my mammogram and am scheduled for a biopsy on the right breast because of calcifications. I am beyond panic thinking of surgery and radiation again. I didn't get to talk to the radiiologist about the mammogram and what her thoughts were. It is classified as a 4a. I have another week to go this has been going on since the first of the month and I am worn out from stress. Just needed to vent with people that have gone thru the same thing.

    Hi Sharonlyn,

    I share the same sentiment. I am a BC survivor of 21 years and just had an inconclusive mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist referred me for an MRI but it was denied twice in spite of my history. I am now going to see a BS for an opinion on Thursday. I dread the thought of recurrence in the same breast that I had a lumpectomy and radiation in 1996. All I know is that they saw an area that appears denser than it was on mammogram last year and then I hadmy first ultrasound that revealed 2 additional lesions that they can’t identify. I want to believe that if the radiologist thought it was cancer for certain, he would have requested an immediate biopsy. I am afraid to read my ultrasound report as I don’t want to read into the Birad score. The anxiety of not knowing is awful.

    Yes, RhondaJ the waiting is pure torture. Its all I can think about and I keep trying to prepare myself for the results which I won't know until next Friday. I just keep thinking I don't know if I can do all this again or not.
