When does the waiting become less stressful?
Sigh...it's been two weeks since my core needle biopsy (diagnosed with radial scar and ADH), and I have my excisional biopsy coming up on 2/22. For the most part I've been pretty chill since getting my results, but the 3:00 a.m. brain has been kicking in lately. Last night/this morning I woke up after having a dream that my results from this upcoming biopsy came back showing malignancy - and that kept me awake for a good chunk of time.
Logically I know that my chances of this happening are very, very low and I keep telling myself that. And I've actually been much better about not Googling anything from my scans and biopsy haha! I'm just going to be SO glad when the biopsy is done and I can put this behind me...until the next round of scans come up in 4 months!

Biopsy was completed yesterday, so one step closer to putting this behind me for a few months at least!

I don’t think the waiting ever gets easier.
Hoping your results are brnign

I can only imagine everything you’ve gone through KBeee!

I agree with KB. Waiting is just plain hard, and it doesn’t get easier, ever. As I recall, at one point I wondered if I would sleep at all while waiting for results. My Primary care physician wasn’t enthusiastic about meds for sleep, so I mostly tried to rest even if I wasn’t sleeping well or at all. The only good thing about waiting is that it ends eventually.
One thought that I sometimes find helpful is to focus on realizing that, however awful and “in your face” any current experience is, it will not always be so. There will come a time when it will be something that you remember, rather than something you experience.
I’m hopeful that your results will be benign. Gentle hugs

Thanks avmom! I kind of broke down today to my poor husband after seeing my breast for the first time since the biopsy - there’s definitely a divot, but hopefully it’ll fill in soon. I know it could be so much worse, but I guess this was the first real physical example of what’s been going on for the last two months
