Good news after delayed results
Had a biopsy last week, which going in was classified as BI-RADS 4B. Results took longer than average, and I just got the call that it was benign. Biopsy report mentions they'd looked at 'multiple deeper levels', and I guess that's why it took longer than expected. Just sharing in case it helps someone endure their own long wait with less distress.

That’s incredible news! Just curious what they found that was suspicious? I too am BIRADS4B and had my core needle biopsy yesterday. I’m terrified but hoping to get some good news too!!

The finding they biopsied was listed as an “irregular hypoechoic mass with posterior acoustic shadowing measuring approximately 0.4 x 0.8 x 0.4 cm"
From what I've read, they grade something a 4B if it has characteristics that are worthy of closer inspection, but it lacks the “classic appearance of malignancy," and when they've looked retroactively at biopsied 4Bs, about 80% of them get good news.
