Hello, I’m 36 and had a diagnostic mammogram on my left breast and bilateral mammogram which were both normal in October 2017. This was done due to tingling & the skin of the lateral border of my left nipple being raised. Within the last month, a small bump has formed on the top of my left nipple (looking down at the breast, it’s on the top portion of the nipple not Areola) and the nipple looks more triangular than my other nipple which is square. The lateral side of the nipple where the raised skin is appears to be more diagonal now. All I really now is my nipple was square & now looks triangular. The bump is the same color as my nipple, maybe with a little yellow. It is painless & I have no lumps. If I squeeze it, some clear liquid comes out. I have no other symptoms but am very scared. I am a single mom to 2 young kids who are my reason for living. I go to school full time & work so finding time for a drs appt is not easy. I have a physical next month and was going to bring it up then. Anyone have any insight into this? The nipple shape may be slight but to me it’s not. It’s all I can think about & I am very scared. Thank you

Perhaps you would feel better if you see your doctoir for th is now, rather than waiting another month.

    Dear Ssl9281,

We are sorry that this change in your breast and the subsequent worry has brought you to our community. You have a lot on your plate with school and work and 2 young children. We hear that finding time for doctors is not easy. Unfortunately we cannot say what is going on. Most here would say that any change in your breasts should be brought to your doctor's attention. Having a clearer understanding about what is causing these changes will hopefully help you. Don't assume that this is cancer. Perhaps you can move up your appointment so as to ease your distress. Keep us posted. The Mods

Sometimes I worry that I’m freaking out about nothing and other times I am convinced I’m going to die. I’m not handling this getting older (even though I’m not old) very well & never had any breast concerns until my pcp sent me for a baseline mammogram 1 year ago. Since then I’ve had constant anxiety about breast cancer for no real reason. That experience opened up a real anxiety & has been very stressful. I regret that baseline mammo & the diagnostic mammo 6 months later. All it has done is radiated that left breast 4 times in 6 months & cause me worry. Now I’m worried that I’m upset over nothing or that I have cancer. Having no one to talk to or show makes my anxiety 100x worse. Google is my only friend

Looking at the bump, it appears more yellow/whitish. I have several yellowish areas on both nipples but this is the first area that is semi defined and is raused
