Sorry you are facing this but I’m not versed enough in that medical lingo except suspicious. My biopsy findings came back in a few days but I was already braced for the DX. Idk what the norm is. In fact it just confirmed what the radiologist already determined and that was BC.

If you want someone to decipher this I would call the nurse and ask her. I had a patient advocate who was very helpful.

Suspicious doesn’t necessarily compute to BC. It could be a myriad of other things. Hopefully you have a medical team that is efficient.

Try not to worry. Keep yourself as busy as possible. Ask the Dr after the biopsy when you can expect the results.

I'm not that versed either on the medical report info, but I can tell you I received my biopsy results in 3 days. The center where I had it done had told me 2-3 days.

Thank you all for responding! Biopsy tomorrow! Now just trying to decide if half of a .25 Xanax is enough to keep me calm!

    Will update later!

I got my results the next morning. Hopefully no it is benign.

What I can interpret (non a professional):

Non mass enhancement: the MR enhances on suspicious areas, but yours is not a well defined mass (edited to add that I am not 100% sure on that terminology; others may know better. The size of the area is 1.4x.5x1.4 cm. 2 o'clock refers to position. Top centeris 12 o'clock.

There is nothing terribly alarming that is screaming cancer in this report. MRI's are very sensitive and many things, including non-cancer, will enhance (the enhancement is showing blood flow, which cancer needs to grow. But cancer is not the only thing that has vascularity.).

Having a biopsy is prudent because it will definitely tell you one way or there other what "it" is.

Hang in there, but don't panic

Biopsy done!!! Not bad at all! I did take 25mg of Xanax, knowing I needed to be very still to help the team work efficiently. The radiologist and his team were so comforting and did a great job keeping me informed and calm throughout the procedure. (I did wke up this morningwith a terrible headache! It's still lingered no, but not because of the MRI Biopsy.....)

jbou7226 I'm so glad for you that it went well and the procedure was uneventful. It's a relief to have that behind you!

The biopsy nurse was so sweet during my stereotactic as well. She did a lot of back rubbing and hand squeezing for me which I found very comforting. Nurses are amazing at healing which is good because some doctors have awful people skills!

Biopsy report indicates a complex sclerosing lesion. Scheduled to see a surgeon next week. Guess I'll be hanging out on that forum for a while. Life goes on and so do advances in treating breast disease.
