Stage 3C & starting chelo
I have been diagnosed with STAGE 3C bc. I start chemo on the 22nd and I’m really scared. How do I handle my husband having a cold and upset stomach? I don’t want to get sick, but can’t avoid him. Any pointers appreciated. Thank you

Wear mask and gloves. Limit contact as much as possible. If possible I would not share the same bathroom and bedroom . Use plenty of disinfectant. It is a tough situation. Best of luck.

I'm so sorry you are here and facing this. But glad you found us.
Ask any and all questions -- come here to vent. Tell us you're afraid. We've been there. (I'm often still afraid if I let myself be.) We understand.
Big virtual hug going out to you!!!

tklein-waiting is the worst part. I was climbing the walls when I was first diagnosed. I was afraid, confused and angry. I am also very grateful that I found the bco website. The support from all of the wonderful people who write on these threads was a lifesaver. Yeah sometimes I'm still anxious and afraid but it's much easier to deal with now. Tomorrow is a new Journey for me. It's my first day of chemo. I have already received emotional support from several of the ladies on this site. I am thankful. When You Reach Out needing information, emotional support or virtual hand holding you'll fine there will be so many ladies willing to help you through the process

Thank you both so much. I was doing ok, but read something that scared me about odds and I totally freaked. Also, everyone is asking if I should get chemo, if it really works, and all I’m doing isjust trying to survive. I appreciate you reaching out. Thank you sgain

Go over to the chemo board/forum and ask questions. Many there can certainly give you feedback and perhaps help you prepare a little, too. Also, a lot are currently in treatment and you'll have some real-time support.
Try not to read too much on Google. Some is not good information.
When my mom was diagnosed I got her Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book and when I was diagnosed she got it for me (later version). I think you would like it. An easy read but so informative. And Dr. Love has had chemo herself (not for breast cancer) and she gives an experienced explanation from patient and doctor viewpoint.
Hang in there. One day, one moment, at a time.

Thank you so much for the information. I didn’t even know there was a chemo forum.I’m gonna check in to that book. It sounds like it explains a lot of things and would really help. Thanks again

Maybe forum isn't the right word (IDK) but here it is -- check out posts here.
