Of course you needed the pom pom! i can barely fix a button, and you are creating this cute hat with almost no vision. You are a true Heroine. Keep it up Lita. We love to hear from you.

Lita~I bet it looks pretty darn good! I hope you're having a good day with less side effects! Please pat Sofia for me? ❣️❣️☺️ Strong woman you are. Much love ~M~

Happy Valentines Day Lita! I admire your courage and strength!

Yes, happy Valentine's Day and have a wonderful yummy dinner! I am about to start Gemzar and with ascites the last thing I need are gastro issues. I guess we'll see......I hope they reconsider the cyberknife for you. losing one's vision is so very difficult.

Braised osso bucco with mirapoix (sp?) vegetables and herbs for Valentine's dinner. Very easy to make. They're waiting on the sheet pan while I reduce the sauce. Reason I haven't made it in so many years is because veal is NOT cheap. DH devoured 2 shanks. I was a dainty eater and only ate one. Left overs for tomorrow...yum!
Sadly, all 3 of us are suffering from allergies. The right eustacian tube in my ear has been clogged up for 3 days now. Looking for natural remedies, but if it doesn't improve, i may have to take a decongestant. I hate taking those b/c they tend to dry you out too much.
Happy Valentines Day to all!

Dear Lita,
Dinner looked delicious! Veal is so good, but you are right about the price:-/
The fragrance of roses makes me glad to forgive Hallmark for inflating 2/14. I'll bet we could get them today on sale
I was thinking about your garden photos from last summer. Do your flowers bloom all year? Hope you can get outside and enjoy nature on warmer days.
Sending hugs to you ((())))

Hi Lita I’ve been a bit away of late but I have been thinking of you a lot. I’m so glad you are doing so well. Sucks with the eyes but my that dinner looks yummy and your hat is adorable. I agree you do have beautiful eyes and I love the sparkle in them. I used to make doilies when I was a kid never learnt how to knit but that little hooked needle I loved. Must be having spring where you are now , spring always gives me strength everything growing and starting a new birds coming back fav time of year. I hope the steroids help you and it’s good to know Gemzar is there for you. Big hug to you dear lady and keep on trucking on.

Lita - now I am wanting some hobo stew but w/o meat.
-
Wow Lita, can I have the recipe? That looks amazing and I love veal.
Glad you enjoyed Valentines. Many hugs to you!

How are you doing, Lita? What are thinking these days?
-
Bluebird, since I'm not as fatigued on the Gemzar, I'm trying to do a little more these days as my back pain and dizziness allow.
DH retired a couple of mos ago, so we're enjoying cooking together. It bugs me that i have to sit at the table to prep veggies rather than stand at the counter...never used to have to do that, but I can't stand up for very long anymore.
Making split pea soup with ham hocks and root vegetables tonight. I always said i would cook more when i "retired" so i have to take advantage of this time while i can still see and move. Eyes and blind spot are getting worse by the day.
-
Dear Lita. I just want to say thank you for help with my Tykerb side effects.( on other thread). Sending prayers for your eyes to remain stable. I’ve learned so much from you these past months. Now I will just pull up my big girl depends and enjoy the moments ahead. Giant hugs to you. Maire

Lita - you never cease to amaze and inspire me. I can only make reservations and that's with full sight. You are a treasure. Sending you support and love.
-
OMG Lita, your home has to smell amazing right about now.
-
Lita, yummy! I love split pea soup with ham and veggies.
We have a ministerium (group of churches) which does Soup & Scripture every week on Wednesday during Lent. Some of my favorite soups included Butternut Squash with curry, New England Clam chowder, lobster bisque, and Split Pea Soup with veggies.
You'd fit right in.
-
Lita, Hope you are having a good week. Sounds like Gemzar is giving you some QOL and time with DH. We love having you here
-
Lita~ Hi there sweetheart, just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and sending some hugs and love your way! ~M~

Hi Lita,
Getting my first Gemzar treatment today. Hope it has been good for you!
-
Hi Lita! I have to sit at the counter now too and relegate fetching items for me. No energy what so ever........That sounds sooooooo good right now. I think you stimulate all of our appetites. Kudos to your DH for his retirement.

another picture for Lita - I call this Heavenly Hellion. Baby was in his white blankies behind the bathroom door.
