Had excisional biopsy today

I had my wire guided excisional biopsy surgery today. I was anxious about the insertion of the wire but it was a piece of cake. The squishing from the mammogram machine was more uncomfortable than the needle or wire insertion.

The BS asked me if I was especially worried about having a scar and I told him that I would trust his professional judgement as to the placement if he made the decision "as if I was your Mom". There is no incision beneath my breast, which was one of the options, so I think he went around the areola area. The surgery went well. They gave me some pain medication at 2PM just before I left the facility and I haven't needed to take anything else yet. The BS did say that on Monday , at my post op visit, he will discuss the nodule that was found on my CXR. Hopefully he will also have the biopsy results. So, my waiting continues
