Who else is young and diagnosed with ILC?

As above really, I am sure there are many my age and younger that have been diagnosed with ILC. I was curious to find out who and how many are on here? I am 33 and was diagnosed 13.10.17 after having a sharp pain in my left breast. To which I then found a lump. The tumour itself is 8.7cm, no nodes affected and clear of metastatic disease. Neoadjuvant Chemo, then Masectomy, Ovarian removal and medication. Menopause has begun since starting Chemo. Is there anyone else my age or thereabouts in a similar boat?

So sorry you are joining us.

My gyn in Wisconsin was 31 with a new baby when she was diagnosed. She is 68 now and donating time to women's underserved clinics.

I’m 34 and was just diagnosed with ILC in January. I had lumpectomy but my MRI showed some other places so my doctor took biopsies while doing lumpectomy and they were positive. So I have multifocal. I’m scheduled for DMX in March. Mine is slow growing. He doesn’t think chemo will benefit me but is sending me for second opinion.

Hey, me, me me! I was diagnosed about a month and a half before my 39th birthday. No family history of BC, came back negative for every cancer causing genetic mutation known.

The needle biopsy said IDC (which is what is in my signature) but final pathology after my mastectomy last week came back as ILC. I don't know how that happens, but okay.

My oncologist is taking my case to the tumor board this week because I had a super severe reaction to Taxol. He moved my surgery up and wants some more input about whether or not they should have me do the desensitization process with an immunologist to be able to get the Taxol or not.

    hi there

I’m 30 and was diagnosed on 2/16/18. I felt my tumor and had some occasional pain before the diagnosis. My tumor is 3.5cm, has not spread. The plan right now is to have lumpectomy w/ sentinel node biopsy at the end of the month. Five weeks after surgery I’ll begin rads. Then meet w/ medical oncologist to begin hormone therapy
