I am getting revision surgery on my left reconstructed breast. The surgeon is going to create new, lower breast pocket, swap out my implant from textured to smooth, and fat graft. I have a wedding to go to 3 weeks after the surgery that does require air travel (4 hours) and I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to go. My doctor says as long as there aren't any early complications, I should be OK, although I may still be feeling fatigued. Curious to hear what others think. Thanks!

You should be able to make it, although I agree you might be fatigued. Ask your surgeon if you will need to wear compression hose/socks and move around on the flight. Will you have a travel companion? You will not want to lift anything on your own. I took a 2 hour flight for a business trip 3 weeks after my revision surgery, and all went well. You should be turning the corner and feeling better by then. I had my drains removed the day before I left -- whew!

I went to Las Vegas with my drains still in😎 Probably a bigger worry is they expect the flu virus counts to still be high
