I went and had diagnostic mammo & ultrasound on Tuesday afternoon . Wednesday morning GP nurse called to tell me solid mass needed to see surgeon asap. Had biopsy the next day, Thursday afternoon. Surgeon scheduled me for Monday appt to discuss biopsy results. Is that normal? Is that a good thing or bad thing? The women before me had biopsy and he told her he was pretty sure it was b9 and he would call to schedule appt with her when he received results probably 5 days or so. With me he told the nurse to schedule me for Monday afternoon at 3:15 to go over results. I've been worried all weekend

I don't think it's good or bad. Sometimes, the results come in quicker than they tell us. I think they usually say 5-7 days just to cover their butts. Mine came in after 3 business days, and that was over the Christmas holiday. I hope it comes out benign for you!

I believe a lot depends on where you go. When I had my biopsy, I went on a Friday and had the results on Monday. If I had gone earlier in the week it would have been same day or next day. I was fortunate to have access to a breast center affiliated with a major hospital system. Had I stayed locally, it would have taken a few more days. I wish you clear results. Please update us when you know.

I received my results yesterday. It's not cancer it's fibroadema. He said it gave them a scare and he honestly thought it would turn out to be cancer because of its shape and my birad being a 4. I also have fibrocystic breast disease and that I will get rescanned in 4 months just to check on growth.

I thank you all for your kind thoughts it was pretty gut churning weekend. I have a sister who has stage 4 small cell lung cancer. (Terminal) she just turned 49.

Thoughts and prayers with each of you
