My daughter is in the 10th grade and ever since she’s been in the seventh grade she has had a hard lump in each breast that takes up a lot of space. She has small A cup breasts and she has not noticed much development or growth spurts in her breasts.I was wondering if it was possible that these lumps could be affecting or interfering with breast development if anyone can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi jessica1234, welcome to Breastcancer.org. We understand that you are feeling worried about those changes in your daughters body, but only a doctor can assess those lumps and answer your questions. Please make an appointment with a paediatrician, general doctor or gynaecologist. The sooner you do this, the sooner you can stop worrying about it and apply some treatment if needed.

    Best wishes,

They sound like breast buds which are normal, however I would still see what he dr has to say. Make sure you communicate your concern about the lumps and that she’s not more developed.
