Just Diagnosed....
Hey all,
I don't even know where to start...
About a month ago, symptoms of an infection popped up and I took two antibiotics before having a biopsy this week. Less than 24 hours later, I got the call that it was cancer. It happened so fast. The doctor didn't even want to do the biopsy, just a culture, to see what type of infection we were dealing with.
I don't have the tests back. He has sent them to get markings. It's hard to sit and wait until the test comes back. I can't make a plan until I know what kind I have (although I am pretty positive it's IBC).
Looking for support and for guidance on how to be okay with this. I'm really young...25 years old....it's so weird how I feel like my life has just flipped.
Thanks ya'll.

Sorry to hear you have a cancer diagnosis and also that you are having to deal with this at a very young age. Good for you for being persistent in getting a biopsy. Hearing that you have cancer is very shocking and scary. Waiting for test results is very difficult but once you get the details your doctor will help you figure out what is next. Make sure you get a copy of your test results also.
Everyone here is very supportive. Let us know when you have the test results. Hoping it's early cancer and can be treated easily.

So sorry you have been diagnosed. This is the hardest part having some information but not the full picture. You'll feel better when you have a plan. The waiting is just awful. The women in this community are so knowledgeable and supportive. I'm glad you found us. Best of luck

I am sorry that you are in this place in life right now. I was just diagnosed January 16th and am currently waiting to hear back from tests to determine what kind of surgery and treatment I will have to have. The waiting can be excruciating. I find myself very anxious sometimes, but as time goes by it gets a little easier. I think having this community here will be helpful on our journey. Hang in there!
