Hi, are you triple negative? Why are you being recommended chemo? Not a simple choice to dive into.

I am assuming as stage 1, probably no positive nodes they are recommending chemo for killing any possible stray cells. If you are hormone positive you should have an oncodx test to see how effective chemo may be.

yes i'm 66 healthy woman and i went to my regular Mammo and found calcification, i'm stage 1

i was so scare i was numb walking like zombie to my car .

well i got the Biopsy and was carcinoma, the days later the surgery in my left breast they remove it all

now the oncology want Chemo for 5 months and i'm so scare of the side effects plus Taxol and radiation and Hormones

my question is can i be able to swim? how much long i can live if i take all this treatment?

they did all the blood test and normal, they need my respond by one week, and i forgot to ask them about the tumor board response.

thank you so much and i love this site,

and please i hope you understand , my grammar is horrible , English second language . :)

why are are they giving you chemo if your cancer has hormone receptors? I would ask them that before diving in.

You should never make decisions in a panic, find out why the treatment is being recommended and what the pros and cons are. I know it is hard, I was in a panic too. But these decisions are crucial.

Ask about how hormone therapy will prevent recurrence and how chemo will improve your odds. If chemo increases your odds significantly then it may be worth taking.
