Nipple piercing & other pain

I had a core needle biopsy 3 days ago and I’m waiting for test results. I have some concerns about 1. The pain radiating down my arm on the side I received the biopsy. I’ve had issues with that arm going numb or pain. They actually tested me for MS because of it so I’m unsure if that’s normal. 2. My other concern is against doctors suggestion I put my nipple ring back in (he suggested I wait a week). It wasn’t slightly closed on one sid but I often had issues putting it back in before. However this time I got really hot, light headed and Nausous. I’m now experiencing sharp pain in my nipple. I’m curious if anyone else had this issue or if it should be cause for concern. I also took off my sports bra for the first time right after to attempt to shower. So I don’t know what know if it’s just pain because of gravety.

    Hi Devil,

    Talk to your dr about the pain radiating down your arm. I would also do as the dr suggested about the nipple ring. Other than encourage women to get second opinions if they are so inclined, we really don't encourage women to go against their Dr advice as we are not drs.

    we too are hoping for a benign result for you, and also encourage you to talk with your doctor about the ongoing pain. It may indeed have been too early to put your nipple ring back in, but also worth a discussion with your doctor or nurse, and just share your concern that it would close up.
