Excisional biopsy and soreness.
I had an excisional biopsy 3 days ago and am feeling sore still and breast is swollen. I can hear fluid moving around in that breast as if it were hollow. Should i be worried?
I am getting anxious waiting for results as well. Is there anyone else waiting for results

I don't have mine until next week but be sure to wear a supportive or sports bra day and night for a few days as this will help keep the swelling and discomfort down. Also use ice packs as needed for pain and swelling and do not use any NSAIS such as Advil or Aleve as they can affect the bleeding.

I have been wearing a tight sports bra but my breast feels itchy and sore. Good luck with your biopsy. This part is the hardest... the waiting.......

Checking in on you...do you still "hear fluid moving around in that breast"? Even if it was blood I don't think you would hear it. But you would probably be able to feel a firm lump (hematoma). If you are still concerned you could call them. When do you go back for your post op visit?
Yes, waiting sucks. I hope you receive good results soon.

I feel like that breast is engorged like during nursing. I also have a lumpy feeling on the side of the breast and the sound of fluid swishing around is still there. I did call the surgeon and am going to have it checked on Thursday. I should have my results by then as well.
Good luck to you on your surgery. Did you have a lump or abnormal mammogram

My mammogram showed a cluster of micro calcifications and the stereotactic biopsy showed that there was a papilloma there also. I never felt any lump. My breast still feels a bit heavier than before the bx and I am still worried about any unabsorbed blood from the hematoma that I had. My BS said that he will check it when he does my excisional bx next week and clean it all out. I had my pre-op stuff done today . I just want to get this over with.
Good luck tomorrow...keep us posted.

what day next week is your biopsy? I went today and had fluidbdranid from my breast. He filled the 20cc syringe twice. He didn’t have the full results back. They can’t determine whether it’s ductal hyperplasia or carcinoma in sit
