Bras after lumpectomy

I need suggestions on how and what type, brand names, etc. so I have supportive bra to use for bicycling, treadmill, etc., until I'm fully recovered. I was pretty sore after the biopsy but able to use what I already have which are light weight sports bras. Unless I'm exercising or traveling in the car, I never wear a bra so not sure where to start. Also wonder if insurance will pay if I get a doctor's order.

I wore my normal bras after my lumpectomy, and just had to cut down on any activities that caused pain until I healed more (i.e. running, walking the dog on my right side). Some insurance plans do pay for post-surgical bras, although not all. Personally I found my regular bras to be more comfortable and better fitting than the ones at the local breast cancer shop, but if there's a store in your area you could give those a try. I think it just comes down you what you feel is comfy. :-)

    I liked these: https://www.amazon.com/Glamorise-Womens-Plus-Size-Complete-Comfort/dp/B00HCN768M/ref=cts_ap_1_vtp

Also, https://www.anaono.com/ makes pretty and supposedly comfortable stuff. Haven't tried them yet but I'd like to.

    Hi buttonsmachine

Thanks for your reply. I'll look up those links. I tried on a couple of bras I had in my drawer thinking I might want something more substantial than light weight workout bras. But found out that those that were tighter or stiffer really hurt the snb incision area so back to no bra or the lightweight ones for walks or traveling in the car.
