Question on pathology report

All,

I am new here, but already had several issues such as ADH and fibrocystic breast tissue.

However, I just had an aspiration of a conglomerate of three big cysts which left me with pain still four days after the procedure. I just received my pathology report and it states fibrocystic changes with apocrine metaplasia. I think this is a benign finding in general, but will see my surgeon next week.

In the meantime, could someone help me out in interpreting this a bit better?

    Here is a link to layperson-oriented site that notes that: "Apocrine metaplasia is a 'non-proliferative' breast lesion. Indeed, these changes are usually associated with breast fibrocystic change" and "Furthermore, this condition [apocrine metaplasia], in itself, does not increase the risk for breast cancer."
