Hello my sister aged 63 and I age 65 both have aggressive breast cancer. She's her neg and hormone positive but with a high oncotype score of 42. She just finished four rounds of AC and then weekly taxol which ended December 19.2017. did not want double mx but preferred radiation and already had lumpectomy June 2017. Saturday January 20 she noted a lump similar in texture etc to the original lump near the scarline. Notified oncologist and she will be meeting with surgeon to revisit options on Wednesday January 24. More will be known then. Just wondering if any one has feedback thoughts or suggestions other than to see oncologist and surgeon? Anyone ever get a recurrence within one month or last chemo? Any responses are greatly appreciated!!!

I had intensive chemo in 2011. I am still suffering from the side effects. I will gladly share my email address and exchange telephone numbers and talk. I just can not type all the issues I have had over the years. Cancer free but is the cost worth the cure.

Hi JHoch. I really understand missing life before chemo. It takes some time to accept the changes in our bodies. Very difficult process. I miss having a good memory and cognitive skills most. And all of the physical issues are hard to adjust to. This forum is not regularly visited, but I do get notifications. If you want to discuss more deeply feel free to private message me. I really get what you are experiencing. It's important to have support. People tend to assume that once cancer treatments are over, we are cancer-free and can return to life as before. Hardly ever true. Take good care.
