New lumps on Breast. Had Breast Cancer 3 yrs ago.

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2014 that required a lumpectomy and a month of radiation. All had been well until last Monday. I had a routine mammogram and it showed a lump, however, the ultrasound didn’t show anything. Since Monday another two lumps has formed! Could this be bruising from Mammogram?? I was told by my consultant that he wants to see me in 6 weeks for another scan but when I told him about the other lumps He advised seeing him on Tuesday next week. Should I ask for these lumps to be removed completely? Should I be considering Mastectomies? My previous cancer was Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, grade 1, extensive LCIS and Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia. I’m so sick with worry, I suffer with depression and anxiety and unfortunately am not able for the stress of wondering if my cancer has returned. Any advice would be so appreciated xxxx

I am glad you are seeing the doctor Tuesday. Perhaps you could discuss the possibility of an MRI. Try to stay distracted until then. Easier said than done, I know.Keep us posted.
