does any one take antibiotics before/after dental work to protect implants?

    My PS had me pre-Medicate prior to my cleaning. He said he just started recommending it since he had a patient with issues. I used to pre-medicate before for minor mitral valve leakage but they stopped that protocol. Not sure if it is needed but I'll take it anyway

    Pre medicate with an antibiotic? How about after?

    I guess it’s to err on side of caution?
