Exchange surgery. How soon after rads?

Just curious how long you waited if you kept expanders in during rads. My skin is doing pretty good, 4 treatments left. Was told 3-6 months but RO said closer to 6 to be sure the skin stops contracting or whatever.

    I finished rads last Friday and my TEs held up. My PS said same time frame 3-6 months and she prefers to wait as long as possible. All depends on how the skin looks. I really want these things out
