I'm going in for blood work and MRI on both breasts tomorrow. Excisional biopsy is Feb. 2. I wanted it sooner, but his only other available spot was Jan. 19th, which is too close to MRI date. I know it's not rational, but I'm feeling a lot of anxiety about this MRI. Not the MRI itself, but what it may show. Im guessing if everything is ok, I won't hear from my surgeon and the biopsy will be a go. No news is good news, right?

H there Teachermom. That all sounds right, but if I were you I'd request a copy of the MRI report so you can read it yourself, even if the doctor doesn't call you. And while I totally get your anxiety, and it's normal, please do know that MRIs throw out some false positives and also report masses as larger than they really are. So you will need to breathe deeply, be patient, compare the MRI to your prior tests, talk to your doctor and try to stay calm through this annoying testing phase. I know it's hard but you're strong! You got this!

Good news! The surgeon's office called to let me know that the MRI showed no new suspicious areas. Biopsy will go as scheduled, February 2!
