I received a partial diagnosis yesterday. IDC, grade 2, cells in lymph node. Still waiting on the receptor info, trying to schedule an MR, see the oncologist, etc. The radiologist who performed the biopsy last Friday warned me that it would come back as cancerous, so I had all weekend to wonder what the results would show.

I just wanted to thank the women who post here. It gave me some support over the weekend, when I didn't have enough info to share but I could lurk around and read everyone's experiences. It helps to know that I am not alone. I can already tell that communities like this are going to be an important part of the road to recovery.

    Sorry you had to join us, but yes you know you are not alone. Right after I found out, I found this board. I read and I read and read some more. It helped me so much, and of course frightened me too. Try to keep it all in perspective. Many do very well with chemo, surgery, radiation and move on. Count on being one of those.

    Please keep us informed as you get all your information in.

    Just remember that any emotions you feel are all perfectly normal and we've all been through it. Feel free to rant and whine here anytime you need to. And if the anxieties get the upper hand during this waiting period your dr's have some amazing drugs to get you through it.

    Also, remember that nothing will be as bad as you imagine it. You'll get through it.

    Sending hugs, Lucky

    Dogmom26:

    SO sorry that you're here but you have found a great place for advice, encouragement and understanding. Unfortunately, we all get it.

    Ask any and all questions. Someone will have an experience to share. I could not have made it through the past year without this site and the great (!) people here.

    {hugs from a cat mom!}
