Lita how are you doing? I sure hope something is working big hug dear lady.
-
Not doing real well, sad to say. Rads to sacrum didn't do anything except make my right leg more numb.
Still battling fecal/anal incontinence. Haven’t given up the Depends and plastic pants. Have added North Shore Supply's large absorbent pads to my mattress. I was using the blue pads, but they're too small.
Brain mets coming back. Very dizzy, daily headaches, and i can't read or wrote for more, than 2 mins at a time. Everything gets REALLY blurry, and with an already sizeable blind spot, i can hardly see.

Damn it. I'm so sorry Lita. I wish there was something that would cure this nightmare. You are an incredible woman. We should all face this disease with the samegrace, humor and honesty that you display. Keeping you in my prayers.

So sorry to heat, Lita. Hugs and prayers.

Hi Lita. I am assuming your furry pup is right next to you getting lots of attention and snacks right now from your loving hands. Our pets are so comforting. They just want our love, regardless if you are healthy or sick. Maybe he (or she) can take (that is, lick) your troubles away and make you laugh. Both of you could use the love and affection. Keep us informed. We are here for you.
-
Thinking of you Lita and sending hugs. D*** cancer.
I hope it's warm enough to be in your garden and feel the sun on your face today.
-
Lita~I don't even know where to begin. You're an amazing woman. You're very loved...I wish I was a magician to make it all disappear, I hate the blind spot....I hate your painful numb leg hurting this way....I hate you have to deal with depends.....I hate cancer period. You're on everyone's mind and I am sending as much strength through the miles as possible. Much love ~M~

Sending you much love and cyber hugs and praying this thing turns around for you!!
-
Lita I hear your voice and I feel your fear and pain. Though you are one of the strongest woman I have ever had the pleasure to know ( via computer😉). This disease keeps robbing us of who we are but you have fought this and are still the Lita we love and admire with humour love and inner strength you forge on . I think a lot about what my legacy will be, what will be left when wendy is gone and I've decided on being a happiness rod for all those around me when people even those I meet on the street complete strangers . You always spread joy and positivity now direct it to yourself. You are still here and are still breathing and with that there is always hope. I have read many accounts where folks have bounced back and I pray for this for you.
Big hug sorry Wendy tends to ramble lately.
-
That was not rambling, Wendy. That was beautiful.
-
Lita, sending love, strength and gentle hugs. You're always in my thoughts.
-
Lita - I believe Wendy peaked into my heart and wrote what I feel for you perfectly! If I face my journey with even fraction of your grace and wit, I will consider myself extremely blessed! Sending you cyber hugs and lots of prayers! Love all over Sophie for you!
Love, Claudia

Sofia in hibernation mode while we watch the football wildcard playoffs.
Feel energetic for a change, so I'm going to make meatballs for dinner. I'll have to sit to do all the prep because of my back, but that's okay.
-
Sophia is so darling. Thanks for the post and the smile it brought me. Enjoy the game. I am watching figure skating.
-
Lita- just want you to know that you are in my thoughts. Hugs from Maine. MJH
-
Lita, I've been keeping tabs on you and am heartened by your practicality, strength and frankness. You are a wonder.
Thanks for the photo and the good news that you're making meatballs. (I love how Sophia almost blends in with all the folds of fabric!)
By your side,
Tina

Pup on the couch and you're able to make meatballs. Pretty good day! Hope your rocking the new pretty depends.
-
Glad you are feeling able to cook. Many hugs and wishes of peace.

"I just woke up from my nap, and I smell meatballs!"
I used "Chef John's Italian Meatball" recipe from allrecipes.com. Very easy. Didn’t even have to fry them in a pan...just bake in a 400 degree oven until browned (20 mins) and drop them into prepared sauce and simmer for an hour. Very easy. Recipe makes 30 balls, so plenty for leftovers.
Of course, my back and leg are killing me now. DH is washing the dishes, bless his heart.

I am sure those are delicious. Enjoy. I really admire your zeal and attitude. Love and hugs.

Sofia looks ready to pull up a seat for meatballs! So glad you had a good day! Thinking of you always,

Lita, so proud and admiring that you made meatballs! There is nothing like completing a normal task to make one feel "normal"! I know it's always a comfort to me. Lita=1, Breast cancer=0.

Starting Gemzar on Wed. SEs include flu like symptoms and diarrhea and vomiting...yippee. I'll be 3 wks on and 1 wk off. MO minimized the se's, but i know better. I get diarrhea from everything.
Doubling down on depends and plastic pants for sure.
L
-
Lita i hope the Gemzar is gentle on you and you won’t need to double down on the depends!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
