Zoladex (goserelin) shot — question

Just learned I go in Monday morning to get my first Zoladex shot so I can start taking Anatrozole as my AI treatment

Is there anything I need to know about the Zoladex shot? Side effects of the shot itself? (Figure I will have immediate menopause symptoms from ovaries shutting down but wonder if the shot itself leaves a painful shot sight? )

Thanks for sharing your experiences!!

I get it every three months. It's a piercing needle and for me it leaves a bruise and is slightly sore for about a week. It's not too bad, they numb me up pretty well. I do have to have a large bandage on for a couple of days because it can bleed a bit but I think that might also have to do with my level of daily activity. All in all its very doable. Everyone is different and the menopause symptoms I have are still here three years later. I think you will find it's not as bad as you might have it in your head. I think you'll do fine. Good luck!

MeToo14– thanks! I havephysical therapy 2 hours after my sudden appointment for the Zoladex shot and wasn't sure if I would feel up to that right after a shot
