Anyone diagnosed with a complex cyst?

I was just diagnosed with a complex cyst. The doctor said that I could do a biopsy now or wait and follow up 6 in months. Not sure what to do. She said the only reason she would suggest a biopsy is because I came in because I could feel the lump whereas if they found it during a routine scan she wouldn't suggest the biopsy-this doesn't make sense to me.

Anyone else diagnosed with a complex cyst have any advice?
Thank you so so much!

Over the years we have had many women come thru with complex cysts. Some chose to have it biopsied (don't recall one ever come back other than B9), some don't.

It's really up to you. If it were me, I would be fine and without concern in waiting 6 months. If you don't feel overly concerned or anxious about it, I would wait.

If you are going to fret and loose sleep over it, get it biopsied. Hope that helps

I had a lump found on ultrasound and had a vacuum biopsy done. It collapsed but came back as a complex cyst. Fluid and debris(lack of a better term). Totally benign.

Never had another one after that. Lots of plain old cysts.

Hi beach2beach. Thank you for the reply! My doctor didn't say anything about a vacuum biopsy. She said I could do a core needle biopsy. Could you tell me more about the vacuum biopsy vs the core needle biopsy? Was the biopsy painful? Thank you!

Hi all, I just wanted to give you my follow up. I went for my 6 month follow up and now a new doctor is saying it is a lymph node. Not sure how it went from a cyst that I would need to drain (first doctor's advice) to a complex solid mass that I would need to biopsy or need surgery to remove (second doctor's advice) to a lymph node that actually got smaller and I don't need to follow up (3rd doctor at 6 month follow up advice), but in any case it is good news. Thank you all for your support and advice!
