Starting radiation soon..questions for you experts!

I am finishing chemo next week and will start radiation next month. I have an appointment with my RO the end of this month. We met with her last Fall (before I knew I needed chemo) but haven't talked with her since.

What can I expect at this appointment, do they do the "markings" then?

What is one tip you would offer someone starting radiation?

Did your fatigue get worse? I have my final chemo in a week and I'm pretty fatigued now, does radiation have the same fatigue?

Thank you for insight!!!!

You probably won't get your markings at the appointment with the RO. Mine were done by a technician with a specific machine. Once the mapping is done, you start radiation treatments pretty quickly. I was surprised how tired I felt even after the first radiation treatment! Make sure to listen to your body and rest when you need to. One thing that I discovered on my own and I wish someone had told me was a type of "dressing" to use on a burn. I used all of the creams recommended and still got a pretty bad burn. Here's a link should you need it, https://spenco.ca/products/b-2ndskin-moist-burn-pa...

    Good luck!
