Herceptin causing left ventricular septal hyperkinesis

I had a similar condition due to Herceptin. I had to quit Herceptin after only 3 months. My EF dropped to 29 from 65 before diagnosis. That will be 6 years ago in April. My MO immediately referred me to a Cardiologist where I have been on medications for 5.5 years. The medicines were miraculous for me. But it is scary stuff.

My sister had heart issues not from Herceptin but from A/C chemo. Now they have Onco Cardiologists who specialize in cancer-related heart issues. Many large cancer hospitals have them. She is also on meds and doing well.

Thank you for your reply and the information. I’ve decided to wait until my last Herceptin to go to cardio dr. My oncologist won’t know I didn’t go. I am not short of breath and more concerned about them stopping Herceptin than a heart issue. We will see echo is February 26t
