Scared. Going for a mammogram tomorrow.
Hi. I had Ductal Carcinoma 2b in 2010. I also had diep flap surgery. I went to a new doctor Tuesday to get a Pap smear. She gave me a breast exam on my remaining breast. She found 2 nodules near my scar tissue. Now I am having a diagnostic mammogram tomorrow. I had a clear mammogram on 6/30/17. I’ve had a mastectomy on the right breast, chemo and radiation. I am scared and don’t want to go through this again. Any chance it could be scar tissue only? She said that she felt the scar tissue and is worried that this isn’t it. There is also a biopsy clip Inthere from an MRI that yielded a false positive. Has anyone gone through something similar?

Hi there Wonderful mom. I have not gone through this personally but two of my friends have. Odds are that it is either scar tissue or masectomy skin necrosis, so try to be opimistic. I know that must be hard after all you've been through! I'll be sending good thoughts your way.

I have had multiple lumps since 2013. Some biopsied and proved to be scar tissue, but one was a recurrence. I am glad they are being proactive in being sure. Hoping it is just scar tissue. Keep us posted and try to stay distracted. Waiting is so hard.
