Pathological Results!

Went to the BS for my week follow-up. Went I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Well can't out with the best!!!

Pathology can't back from surgery, 0/2 lymph nodes had any trace of cancer, the margins were completely clear of IDC, by min of 12.8mm, but the DCIS martins were .02mm clear, which he said were still within parameters, but close. So I'm finished on that part.

He did take 2 large pieces. He said that they were from my skin to my chest muscle for what was taken. No wonder it sounds hollow when I scratch it.


So next steps are to meet with radiology oncology and medical oncology to get radiation set up, start hormone therapy and see if they want chemo. Not to excited about the thought of chemo, buy he said it all depends on how aggressive she wants to be.

So good news on the home front today!!

    That is all super news. You must be so relieved - I know I was when my path report came back. Hope you get a good night's sleep, and if you have ER status, size, grade, etc. to share later we will all be happy to second guess your MO and RO at a later date!
