Thinking of MomAllTheTime and Dani

Mom, I am just stopping in to say hello and let you know that I am thinking of you and Dani. I know that, as you said, you have to be the strong one and don't want to just lose it. I do want to remind you that you do NOT have to be the strong one here. When things seem to be too much to bear, come here. We will let you vent, scream, rant, and cry to us. We will not judge you because you deserve to express your feelings. We are here for you.
You remain in my prayers.
Hugs from, Lynne

MOM- also thinking of you and always amazed at your strength. You know that Dani needs it so much. I try hard to understand the motive behind these "talks" and if the person giving them feels that they are a loving gesture. On the receiving end we know this talk was not helpful or loving. This did not progress her care. This did not support you.
Don't Judge yourself with a retrospectoscope. You are making the best decisions you can based on what you know when you make them, for a person you care more about than anyone on the planet. No one can replace a mom. Please help your family help keep you healthy and strong for Dani. Sending so many Hugs
-
Mom / Dani - hoping to know what is going on with you. I miss you.
You mention how the family depends on how your perception and strength is so they can find their way through. I sort of know what you mean. After the head on collision we had home health care in the home to take care of many needs. One became a friend and still is. I said one day how I depend so much on Hubby. She said, "I was thinking it is the other way around, he depends most on you." I am reminded of the song.... "Woman draws her life from man and gives it back again. And there is Love, there is Love." There are many ways to spin a lyric one it is written. Family / mother is how I see this right now.

I've been checking daily, but there is no word from momallthetime since December 26. Does anybody have news and permission to share?
Momall, if you are reading but too overwhelmed to write, please don't feel bad. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and your family. Sending good wishes.

I hate so much to make you guys all worried. I am always thinking of you so I know how it feels. Tears stream down on my face, what beautiful souls you are. I have to keep these wonderful warm thoughts. It's all so much on target. Thank you. I know i know you are there and it feels so right. Really sorry to make you wonder.
First about Dani, she is an unbelievable person. She's been going to chemo now every week, he's giving her 3 different mixes, in a lower dose than the original. She is so weak, her platelets are still low, but he's holding back transfusion. He thinks it's from all the rads. Anyway, she decided she's going to these treatments on her own. She wants to drive there, it's at least one hour and sometimes 1 1/2 each way. It's more the traffic then the distance. Hmm like no, parking is not on location, it's been very cold. And the blizzard day, the office was open also.
And contrary to e/t I am used to, and what I would like, he does not believe in doing scans right away. His belief is that it takes time to things to work, it takes time to blood levels to stabilize, he prefers to see how she handles things, and not run from one tx to another. To be perfectly honest, he really does seem to care. When i told him what the other doc was saying, he called them "animals". Knowing now how dark it all seemed, how much she is enduring, and hearing from many many people that were treated by this Onco, i have to step back and hope for the best.
He's his own person, he did not sell his soul to the devil yet, his place is like going to grandma's ( the older grandma's), that's one of the reasons I did not mention him earlier to Dani, i knew she would run from it. But now she seems to feel comfort in his presence. He does not panic. And he's available when she needs him, which is a lot of times, hello should we go now to the ER, no, now? no...totally the opposite from these other uncaring people.
The bleeding is much less, but it's still there every day. She never knows when and if is gonna block her. They are scheduling her for another embolization session next week given her platelets go up. I just changed my phone ringer, the former reminds me of all the calls that came in while big clots were there, and the late nights running to the ER and the horrendous docs calls from the past. I am still not the same person, she and i are both scared when the phone rings. Am I calling her with something the doc said? Is Dani calling me to say there is an emergency? It's calmer now, but we need to get there too.
My plan is to check in on all of you in the morning, all of you ladies are just amazing!!!!!!

Hi Mom. I can't believe how articulate you in describing this, how steady and perceptive your gaze when you look upon what you've been through, where you are and where you are going, and how firm your feet are on the ground as work through this, engage where needed and back off where you have to. This is a situation that would reduce the average soul to a blithering puddle of tears.
I like the doctor. It takes a strong soul to remain invested when the situation is tough. I think you've found a kindred spirit and the best possible place for Dani.
If you care to share ... What's the chemo cocktail? I love low dose chemo... how low a dose are we talking?
Hugs,
>Z<

Momall,
Dani is an unbelievable person and so are you!! The way you described the new oncologist makes me feel much more at ease, that you and Dani are in great hands. I smiled when the new MO called the past Dr.s "animals", but animals are cute and innocent and I prefer a stronger word which I can't put on a public forum. But I think you get my drift! Haha
I'm glad to hear Dani is bleeding less and hopefully this bump in the road will be resolved soon.
I just have to say, that I could hear a tone in the words you wrote this time, and it definitely sounds like you are in a better place.
As always prayers for you and Dani! I have never seen a pic of Dani and have this vision of a tiny beauty. I would love to see a pic of both of you amazing gals someday.
Many Blessing from Tennessee.

Mom
I just found this thread. I had been wondering how you and Dani are doing. You know that I hardly ever post. But I just had to say that I love and pray for you both daily.
Z described you perfectly. You are the picture of strength! Amazing woman and Mother. Dani has inherited her strength from you. Little and mighty!!
You are in my ❤️
Love Chelle.

Mom, please don't feel guilty about making us worry. We care about you and just want to give you some support. You said that Dani is an unbelievable person. She learned from you. You are fierce, resilient, and courageous, yet tender, caring, and supportive. She learned by example. It sounds like you have found the right MO for Dani. I hope that the new treatment plan works quickly and effectively. In the meantime, you know what I am going to say. Take care of yourself. Eat, rest, breathe, laugh. You and Dani are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne
