Invasive Mammary Carcinoma, Lobular Type

I met with the NP this morning, and I've been diagnosed with Invasive mammary carcinoma, lobular type. I'm totally freaking out and frustrated and everything inbetween. There is an urgent referral to Surgical Oncology. The Immunohistochemistry results that are back say: SMMHC Negative, and E-Caherin Negative and other tests aren't back yet. Since I'm BRAC 2 the NP suggested a double mastectomy however I need to speak with the surgeon. I guess I need the options spelled out to me before making any decisions. I've got so many questions and concerns.

    You might like to join the lobular fórum on here as it is a different charácter to ductal cáncer......you will find a lot o good and accurate information on there............

    I was diagnosed with this at Stage 3 nearly 6 years ago, and I refused chemo and am still here............and so far your results are all good news, don´t be panicked by them saying urgent referals......some places have specific time periods that they have to opérate within just as protocol not necessarily because a you are urgent if you see what i mean. I remember being really panicked by a Doctor saying "this will save you a day or two"....I instantly thought oh no it must be mega serious then, maybe I am dying..........but it was just a thoughtless comment....
