I still am waiting for final test results, but the initial ultrasound on the mass says this :

"partly circumscribed hypoechoic solid mass."

What does this mean? Specifically "partly circumscribed hypoechoic"

Hi Kristen. None of us are doctors so please take this with a grain of salt, from a non-expert. But generally, a mass that is well-circumscribed is less likely to be cancer than one that is poorly circumscribed. So "partly circumscribed" is somewhere in the middle. Sounds like you have US results and are waiting for the biopsy results? That will be more definitive.

    Thinking good thoughts for you.

    Kristin,

Sending hugs for you. I read your other two posts and I have no doubt you are very scared, and understandably so. Wish I had more reassuring words. The waiting is very hard, brutal even.
