Claudia, your family is gorgeous! When do you plan on making the big move? We are hoping to at least get a settlement out of this nightmare! Maybe it will be enough to stay right here,I would just love that! Colorado is home to me. I love the cool, crisp air and the beautiful mountains. America the beautiful was written while sitting at the summit of pikes peak in Colorado Springs. It really is nice here!
Mel, your daughter is lovely. Radiant smile on her face. She is adorable!!
The very worst thing about this disease, is the hurt it causes our loved ones. I have been on both sides of cancer. It is so much worse to watch a loved one suffer! I wish I could heal us all! And take away the hurt!!
Love to everyone!

Chelle~ did I remember reading that you were a Led Zeppelin maniac like I am? That's pretty darn cool. They are my favorite band ever. And of course Queensryche! Is awesome As well wondered if you had heard of them. Sometimes I can listen to music. Other times I cannot, because it breaks my soul down! I am emotional about anything George Strait, ive seen him four times. I adore everything about him. I vary with my tastes.I like Bee gees. Alll different kinds. But Led Zeppelin rules. My most favorite. We are a lot a like, I have a feeling!!! Love you ladies ~M~

Lynn, she is just the cutest little thing!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
-
it’s really cold this morning!!!

Micmel...I think you mentioned Lita which had me concerned but I noticed she's posted on a different thread.
-
Micmel, My granddaughter Scarlett might LOOK like an angel, but she can be a little terror. I think she will be a rugby player when she grows up. She is all rough and tumble. Your rings are beautiful. Your DH is a sweetheart. You dh's ex sounds like a piece of work. I think ex's always make things complicated. My sister remained good friends with her first husband even after they had both remarried. They were definitely the exception. Of course they lived an ocean apart, he in Canada and she in France, so that might have helped. LOL.
Chelle, You are correct. Scarlett's birth was definitely a bright spot during a very scary time. You know what it was like because you have experienced those frightening moments, too. I hope things fall into place for you so you and your family can enjoy many happy times.
Here are a few more pictures, one more of Scarlett who doesn't like to smile for the camera, one of her three year old sister, and the other of their 12 year old brother.

Leapfrog~ I was so relieved to see her posting! I am just concerned because she said the symptoms that had gotten a little better with WBR seemed to be returning! I just worry how much one woman and or person can take! I was sending out happy strong thoughts for them to find her needed treatment, and let her live again, Lita style. Never giving in. Never giving up. She's is amazing. I am also worried about Patty, it's Been since September since she said logged on even! Thanks Leapfrog! You have good watchfull eyes! Hope you're doing well! Hope you had a nice Christmas! Hug someone ~M~

I love all the pics of family, trees and ring. I don't know if I can post a video on here but will try. The best Christmas Surprise EVER happened at my son's house on Christmas day. I always get a calendar with pics for each month of my son's family. This year my DDIL wanted her mother ( recently widowed) and me to open our calendars at the same time. Then she and my son started videoing. When we got to May they asked us to read the caption under Blake's pic. It said " Dreaming of going to Disney Alani Resort in Hawaii. I wonder if Granna and Bunny would like to go." Needless to say we were totally surprised and thrilled. I couldn't believe it was real.
I've watched it probably ten times. We reacted the same way, as if it had been choreographed, not spontaneous. Too funny. So, this Mother's Day I will be in Hawaii! Never even dreamed that could happen. Now, MBC behave yourself and let me stay healthy enough to go and enjoy my grandchildren!!!! Oh, and I would love to use this event as incentive to lose a few pounds.

50's(Lynne)~💕🤗🤗🤗🤗omg she's precious and a beauty already! Wow. I adore her name ! So rare and elegant. When I was pregnant I wanted an original name that was not common everyday. I chose Gabrielle! And she is magnificent to fit it. To carry a name like scarlet. You have to be a beauty! The young man is quite handsome, and the little blonde will be breaking some kindergarten hearts !!! You have a very beautiful family my friend. Oh how ilove seeing the pictures of the people you all love. It truly warms my heart. Truly! That Is what makes this thread seem like a home away from home! Keep sharing the great photos. It's so important to love our peeps deeply! What are the other two children's names ? Scarlet? ? If you don't mind sharing?! Much love ~M~

I couldn't get the video to post. But, I forgot to tell you that my DD did have her eye surgery yesterday and it went well. She said it felt good to have the fluid drained that was putting pressure on her optic nerve. She's home recovering
-
Grannax~Congrats to you! That is such a special Moment.!! Wow Hawaii! It's magnificent I know and so does 50'sgirl!! What a thoughtful amazing gift you have been given. You will be going and you will be in good health when you go! No doubt about it. Talk about putting a beat in your step!!! Yahhhoooo! I am so happy for you special lady! You deserve it! Yes you do! Merry Christmas in the grand way! I never tried to post a video, I hope it could work !
Hugs and much love ~M~
-
Grannax~I am so glad that your daughters surgery went well, now maybe you can breathe a sigh of relief and take the time to reflect on how you felt opening up your gift. Actually you got two pretty cool gifts for Christmas! Much love to you both ~M~
-
Wow! A lot has happened in a few days! Where to begin?
Micmel-your DD is lovely! What a magical Christmas you had-sounds heavenly. The ring is just stunning. Hope the celebration of your DSS's Eagle Scout goes well! My DH's ex is so out there that she's lovable.
Grannax- Love the photo of you and your granddaughter! She is the spitting image of you! The children together on the stairs are precious! and, Happiest of Birthdays! I see it's one of those with a "zero" at the end. It must have been such a scare to have your DD take such a bad spill. Jeez-louise-talk about adding insult to injury-poor dear. A trip to Hawaii in May! PERFECT! Just what the doctor ordered!
Mae-trip looks absolutely wondrous! So pleased for you and DH!
Bighome-the photo of the family is priceless! I had forgotten that my mom used to get matching jammies for my sister and I at Christmas! So wonderful! Are you heading home to your new puppy now?
50'sGirl-There have never been more beautiful grandchildren than yours!
Leapfrog-So true that Christmas can be the best or worst of times. Harder when people feel as though they should be merry when they can't be. I've had a few sad ones as well. I see that you learned that Lita has her own thread now.
I had a lovely low key Christmas. My eight yr old grandson loved his gifts and was so gracious. We had a nice yummy dinner with roast beast and apple cranberry pie. It was blizzarding outside!
Hi to ChelleG and Lynnewood, and anyone I missed!
sending love, may the force be with you. MJH

MJH~I love foosball, that looks like so much fun! Adorable grandson, loving the jammmies! Someone certainly Did have a white Christmas 🎄! That's just perfect! Low key Christmas is exactly the phrase I would use as well. It was a very romantic Christmas, this diagnosis has brought us closer and more in love on a level only you ladies could understand. Sledding....I don't even know when I did that last. I know that is one thing I won't be doing ever again. I don't do too well in the cold these days. Today alone is 19. Low tonight of like 7. Seriously ? Lol you poor guys! The flowers are lovely. I didn't have Christmas flowers this year. I guess I forgot the center piece. Lol yours is festive and pretty. Most people do pointsettas! My dog seems to want to eat them!!!
......and now to the most elegant part of your postings that brought a tear to my eye. The Antique setting on your wedding set is so beautiful! I love jewelry that is platinum looking. I'm not a gold woman, but would accept it as any gift.lol
but the fact that your ring, was your grandmothers, is so very special there really are no words, just a sweet smile and a thought about the history there. I think those type of rings are my favorite! They have such history and such meaning. Talk about a representation of love! Magnificent! Thank you so much for sharing.
I would love to see More of the Rings that bind you all to your Dear sweet DH's! I love all the variety and different tastes everyone has! Thank you so much for sharing!! Actually made my day! Much love to all ~M~

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I was feeling ok for our parties. Feeling a little better everyday. It will all begin again when I start my steroids on Tues, and have chemo next Fri. I'm heading north to our timeshare in Laconia this Fri (after my bloodwork/oncologist appointment), for a week. Just to enjoy the quiet. Our grandsons will be up on Sat to use the pools and go down the waterslides. Then we'll ring in the New Year and get to just relax. My husband will commute to work from there (it's about an hour from home).
Great pictures Lynnwood and Claudia. I'll try to post a couple of mine. I didn't take any pics, but my older daughter did, and my husband took some.
Grannax2-cute kittie. I too have 2 sister cats (almost identical, mostly charcoal grey with some white). We adopted them 2 years ago when they were 1, from the animal shelter, after our last cat passed (she was 17). I was all set with pets, but our youngest (who's 22) was so upset from losing our last cat (he grew up with her), that I caved. Guess who takes care of the cats 99% of the time?? Yup, me!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Our 3 grandchildren. Ryleigh 8, Matthew, 6 1/2, and Aiden 5. The boys are brothers.

My birthday gift from my husband. A leather Harley jacket.
The back. I'm pretty conservative, so this is wild for me!
I also got a red and white rose bouquet from him, and a mixed rose bouquet from our younger daughter.

The 3 grands in front of the tree and presents.

Yes, we had the Patriots game on! Our 2 sons, Kevin and Bryan, with Matthew and Ryleigh (Bryan's daughter).
Our daughter Lindsay, with Kevin and Bryan (she got him that hat!).
Lindsay (the boys Mom) made her face up as a deer for Christmas.
My Mom, with her 4 great grandchildren. The baby is my sister's granddaughter, Bryn, 6 weeks old.
Our daughter Christiana wearing the gift she got from Lindsay. made up her face as a deer for the occasion.

Great pics MJH and Lynne! Adorable children! I somehow missed a bunch on here when I first went on.
Mae-it looks like you had a great trip.
Mel-beautiful rings, and you too MJH!
It's in the single digits here today, with the wind chill in the negative numbers. It will be like that for a week anyhow. Winter is here!
Enjoy!
-
Lynne(Man)~you go girl! That is an awesome looking jacket!!! You look like you're ready to hit the open road on the back of a pretty loud hog!!! That is really such a nice gift. You look pretty darn good in it also! I love the flowers. That's one thing I didn't get this year. I do love them. I am a sucker for flowers I admit it!
The picture of your grandchildren on the steps is really so adorable. The look on their faces of excitement they can barely contain themselves ! Lol ohhhh to be young again. Such handsome young men and a lovely little beauty keeping them inline!! Loving the pictures!! Loving them! Much love ~M~
Glad you felt good for your parties. That is very important! Memories must be made!! Everyday!
-
Lynne(Man)~ I agree, we must have been posting at the same time lol. Your sons are handsome and obviously adults lol what are their ages? How sweet daddy with daughter. Usually they are daddy's girls! I Lovethe name Christina, and she looks like she's ready to step out on the town with that beautiful vest! My daughter got something like that as well this year, seems to be very in style! Yes... it's freezing here too. not single digits though, 17 this morning and tonight I believe they said 10. Um yuck! Lovin the reindeer face touch, I think it's very festive! She wore it well! 😊 So busy we all were, it all goes so fast! And now .....it's just over! Memories though remain! Still loving the jacket!! And all the pics everyone's sharing. So special ! Much love ~M~
Patriots. Ohhhhhh. Hmmmmmm interesting football year for sure!

Thanks Mel! We each had our own Hondas about 5 years ago. They were nice and quiet (I hate loud motorcycles). I sold mine (a 250 Rebel) after the cancer came back. My husband sold his (1800) a couple of years ago, when he found he wasn't riding it much since I was no longer riding, and I was too uncomfortable on the back of his, even with a back rest. I had told him that the only way I'd go back on a bike was if it was a trike. Our friends had purchased a trike last year (she is in a wheelchair, because of her MS). We went and visited them this summer, and he suggested we try his trike (a Harley). We rode around. Next thing I know, is that there is a Harley trike in our driveway. I knew he was looking at them, but I didn't know he bought one! 2017, maroon. We were out every weekend (sometimes with our friends, my husband made a stand for her wheelchair, that fits on the trailer hitch, so she can get off the bike). Our friends always put the loud pipes on their Harleys. I was against getting a Harley, until I found out they are the only ones who factory make their trikes, as the others are all kits that they put on 2 wheel bikes. Ours is a little loud in first gear, but after that, it's quieter. I have a nice big seat, and a radio!
I also love flowers. I still have them, almost a week later. Only lost a couple of roses! It was a nice centerpiece at Christmas! My daughter combined the two bouquets.
Our granddaughter is definitely the boss! Matthew will listen to her, but Aiden (the red head) listens to nobody! LOL

Hi Lynne, My son and his wife and children were at that game on Sunday. I was told that my 11 year old granddaughter was shivering by the 4th quarter, but like any true Pats' fan, she watched the game without complaint. I was a bit nervous during the first half, but relaxed after that. I have to admit that some of the games have been real nail-biters. My DH and I came up to Bretton Woods after my onc appointment today. We will be here all week. It was minus 5 here when we arrived. They have had 65 inches of snow already. I heard it will be close to twenty below by morning. I think we just might both be crazy to live in NH.
Mel, My 3 year old granddaughter's name is Avery, and my grandson's name is Camden. I also have 6 other grandchildren, 2 more girls and 4 more boys.
Grannax, I love Aulani. The resort is beautiful. The rooms and suites are spacious, modern, very clean, of course, and full of Hawaiian touches. Do you like to snorkel or go on dolphin watch? If so, I will give you a recommendation -great experience, great people, and 2 minutes from Aulani. Oh! You will be there during whale season - fantastic! I will tell you more later.
Scans next week for me
I will write more tomorrow.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne
