So I finally have a diagnosis of ADH, you can read about my saga HERE. I’m worried mostly because of my age (I’m 37). It turned out that the less suspicious area is the ADH and the other area is just fibrocystic changes, sclerosis, blah blah blah. So I still feel like I’m in limbo, the biopsies were excisional so I don’t think I’ll need any more surgery at the moment. I refuse to do hormone therapy. I just see a lot of mammograms and MRI’s in my future. Anyone else in this boat

Yes, same boat here. I also opted out of Tamoxifen. The side of effects of menopause were already bad enough without the added side effects of the hormone therapy. I also had the excisional biopsy for extensive, severe ADH with a smaller area of ALH. It's been nine years now and the area that he did not get all of has gotten smaller. Even though I do not have a history of breast cancer in family or BRCA1 gene, my surgeon insists on seeing him every six months alternating breast exam and MRI/mammo. Still don't know why he considers me such high risk warranting the yearly MRI which is stressful . Just hope all that dye isn't going to cause me problems in the future that docs don't know about yet.

Same boat too! I'm 21 and found out on November 28 that this lump I have is ADH (I also have 3 fibroadenomas and dense breasts as well as fibrocystic breasts). Since I'm young, I'm pretty anxious about everything but I'm meeting with a breast surgeon next week to talk about the results. I'm not sure what my risk is but I know it's probably high since my mom had BC and my dad's mother and aunt had BC as well. I wish both of you the best with your follow-ups and this journey we're going on
