    Hi NurseMom,

So very sorry that you have reason to be here, especially during the holidays. I'm sure you're feeling simply overwhelmed, which is normal. There's a huge learning curve. We all felt lost during the beginning. Remember that you're never alone. Here's the link to the papillary carcinoma thread. We send you hugs. Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear your diagnosis. I have been treated for this very recently. I can tell you that you likely have plenty of time to meet with a surgeon and formulate a plan. Generally speaking papillary carcinoma is not as aggressive. There are great resources on this board and the "breast bibles" (Drs. Love and Port) are also very helpful, although they do not speak directly to papillary carcinoma, which is very rare. Even if you work in the medical field, breast cancer treatment is so highly individual and complicated these days that a book summarizing current treatments and possible strategies is very helpful. I wish I had found this forum AND read one of these books prior to my first specialist appointments. I would have been better prepared and would have also avoided some needless worry about things that did not even affect me.
