    Good to know your little chick is fine! I used to have them and loved them; very entertaining and also very loving animals. Thank you about tarantulas....have 33...lol.

    his is Tor-tilla (tortoise +godzilla). He started out as the pet of one of our kids, but ended up as my husband and my special little guy. He runs to the door of his enclosure to get head skirtches and cuddles up when he is hanging out with us.

    We also got a goofy crew of furry kids. Cass (7 months), Higgs (9 years), and Hank (8 years).

    Tor-zilla is so cute! Especially when munching on yellow flowers (what kind of flower?). Does he like marigolds, pansy, petunia or hollyhocks? Don't know if they are okay for hard shelled 'cuddlers' but my Bugs and Foo Bunny love them.

    Your furry kids are so cute. Any particular histories on them before they came to you?

    Imaaree, fur babies are the best during illness and recuperation. My little dog seemed to instinctively know whichside hurt and would avoid it. I love the phrase “gentle hugs” since that is what he gives me along with unconditional love. I only hope I live up to the me his eyes see. Wubbzy was named by my grandson when he was two. His favorite dvd cartoon was Wow Wow Wubbzy!! I worked in a very large vet hospital so I had to search the name Wubbzy. Our Wubbzy is unique! He is a 10 lb cross between abichon and a shihtzu. Introducing Wubbzy tear drier extraordinaire, laugh producing, toe warming, leftover eating, grandson hiding, loving pup I’ve ever had....and I’ve loved many.

    Kicks- The flowers are dandelions!

    All of our pups are rescues of a sort... Higgs came from a California County Shelter after he was left in a night drop box at 2 months old. Hank is from Best Friends Animal rescue in Utah who was homeless for a long time after running away from an abusive family. Cass came from a family who rescued a pitbull puppy and we're waiting at the advice of thier vet to get her spayed when she went into heat early and ended up getting pregnant by a neighbor dog. All are very loved. We are getting them back today! I have missed them so much!!! (I am in ND and had my surgery are Mayo in MN so they were boarded while we were out there and we kept them boarded for an extra two days so my husband could finish out the semester at work)

    Higgs (brindle in the middle) reminded me so much (from picture) of a OTGH (Off Track Grey Hound) that we got sort of second-hand from the guys who got her from the race owner in 1991. We found her a home that was a perfect fit for her. (I got her litter mate from the race owner the same night after they had run their last race - had Hoos for 12 yrs). Hank looks like such a big 'schnuggle' bud. Not to forget Cass but the other 2 just 'jump out'at me more - my bad.

    Not forgetting my 2 MiniRex, the 2 'kids' we have now are my Pembroke Corgi who Hubby literally rescued out of a snowbank out on the Rez about 7 yrs ago. Hubby's 9 y/o Black and Tan Coon Hound that he got at the local Shelter. There is a bit of a 'story' with her. Very shortly after I was DXd (before I started A/C) he lost his red headed 4 legged daughter to cancer. He'd been hunting on line for a B&T Hound but hadn't found one. So the day before I was having UMX, I decided to stop at the local Shelter to see what was there (no idea why I did). There was a B&T Hound there. (I still had my old Gordon Setter then who had come from the same Shelter yrs before). Told Hubby about her that night and as soon as I was in my room post surgery, I sent him (adult Son was there too and knew I had seen the hound) to go to the Shelter. When they came back - he had gotten her but she had to wait 2 days to be spayed. Next morning when Son picked me up to go home, we stopped at the Shelter on the way to see her. They had already spayed her and I was told I could go ahead and take her home but didn't make sense to me to take a 'strange' dog home in the cab of a PU a day after UMX so Hubby picked her up on the way home from work. She's still here.

    Buggsy {4 1/2) and Foo Bunny (1/2) were both bought at the fair (years apart). Both are Mini Rex. Buggsy is a broken black and Foo Buuny is a broken tortoise.

    Kicks-quite a menagerie! I love greyhounds in all thier lounging glory. No worries about focusing on the boys. Right now Cass is just a sweet puppy...no real distinct personality outside of love me! Feed me! Play with me! Lol.

    I love looking at all the critters. I've owned all kinds but currently we have 4 cats, a turtle, and a lizard. Of them all, I am pretty much Pip's person. He calls me mom and has me wrapped around his little paw. Gotta love him. Thanks Mary

    My two furry kids: Eftihis (which means happiness in greek) is 5 years old and Mafalda my 10 year old girl (she is deaf) there both rescued by my husband and I from the streets here in Athens... I cant imagine a day without them

    Jake and Percy. They've been gone for several years, but we like to remember all the funny and quirky things they did. (For instance, Jake - on the right - was sort of heavy, and - when he flew by - he made a puttputtputt helicopter sound. His friend Percy was afraid of humans, but - when I brought out a little birdbath - he couldn't resist jumping in and splashing around. He also enjoyed pulling poor Jake’s tail when his back was turned, every morning.)
